Nervousness rising (>.<)

Today was first morning when I actually felt the butterflies flying in my stomach…not so funny feeling on train

And yesterday evening I realized how many small stuff I still have to do before going and days are running really short. Yaiks. Busy days mean really fast going time and I’m hopping on airplane probably faster than anticipated What a funny thing time is o.O

Haha I got this next picture from my cousin Tiiachan. It’s from our first trip to Tokyo last year….it’s not a trick picture. I’m standing in front of 109 store in Shibuya and Alice Nine just happened to release their Hana single during our stay in there. That is why they had this big..no huge really…poster on their wall

Final Frontier

Where is time disappearing so quickly. Usually when you wait for something it tends to go too slow…right guys?! Maybe it’s partly because of my internship time and I don’t have time to think about my going too much. Another thing which will take lots of my free time is the report I have to do about my time in MySuomi, oh well, no need to complain as time goes this fast

Good graces…I went to see BBC forecast for Osaka weather and it’s soooo hot in there. My flight leaves on Sunday morning and I can’t see longer than 5 days forecast, but on Saturday bright sunny day and +37C…humidity is 42%. I think I can wait something like that for the start of the week too.

I’m glad Lauri, my friend, studying in Osaka Gakuin, promised to pick me up…I’m not at all worried about my finding the way, but about carrying all those stuff in that heat.

I know I know..I don’t have to spend that much time outside and there trains are better cooled than in Finland , but still, always helping if even one hand is free to open the doors etc.

Two weeks to unknown…

Hey everyone

Finally I got myself time and decided to write my very first blog entry.

Since I don’t know how many knows why I’m writing this blog, let me shortly tell you about it (I definitely try to make it short…xD)

It two weeks….29th of August so to speak, I’m flying to Osaka, Japan to do my exchange year. This blog if meant for friends and family who can now easily check am I still alive..haha of course I will be, but still   And since my own memory is not that reliable it’s good to write things down.

For those who don’t know me that well is good to have info that I am studying in Laurea University of Applied Sciences and majoring in tourism. I’m desperately interested in Asian cultures, especially Japanese ones and I have been studying Japanese for around 3-4years now and let’s see how strongly it will improve during my stay in Osaka. At least my Tokyo/Finnish accent will be Kansai/Finnish one pretty soon

I started this whole process early this year and have been filling out dozens of papers about me mostly. Oh …important for you to know that the school in Osaka I’m going to is called Kansai Gaidai Gakuin, later on I will shortly address it as KG. (Gakuin=University)

This school has very good application system and everything is done on computer, the reason why I didn’t have to panic about all the important papers getting lost in the mail. There is no point explaining all the work I did, but I did it…and glad that it’s done! Now I have visa in my passport and packing is on going project…I think I have everything covered. And big thank you for the KG staff who have been sending me lots of emails during this summer and kept me sane while waiting.

Also I’m glad that I’m doing my internship period at My Suomi, which has been a great employee by the way and coworkers have been the best ever, so my summer has went by super fast and I haven’t had time to think about Osaka matters too much. And my Japanese has improved a lot while talking to customers, who in a Japanese way don’t speak that good English, which is for me a really good thing

Ah, did I again write too much -.- haha No one has strength to read too much at once. But have to warn you that first days…no weeks more likely, will be so cool in Japan that I have too much  to tell you and keep it short. (=impossible formula)

Yep..that was me メリでした and I promise to keep you updated from now onwards. Wish me luck while I’m finally making my dream true.
